![]() ![]() Mount Lanayru has what Topaz will now dub a Spotlight Tower at the very top where the Shrine of Wisdom is, and seems roughly half as tall as the mountain itself which is pretty tall.Location appears to be Ash Swamp, near the Dueling Peaks Stable on the east side of the Dueling Peaks.i think Zeltik pointed that possibility out in one of his analysis videos. Maybe whipping up a basic 4 walls and a roof minecraft style to be able to make a fire when it's raining for example. I could see being able to build structures and shelters as well as vehicles. Likely lore-wise Hyrule is trying to re-construct and build again, but gameplay-wise i think the intention here is to provide a reason for parts and pieces / materials to be laying all around waiting for Link to use them with Ultrahand. You can see large wooden platforms, as well as barrels and even a sail leaning against a wall. There are multiple places in the trailer, near stables at the beginning, and right at the end, where there are foundation structures with building materials surrounding them. If it is actual house or city building mechanics I hope it's menu based and permanent and not part of the Ultrahand thing. ![]() I really really want them to be little places where we can show up spend some rupees/resources and give someone a new home, but they also look like they may just be respond spots for vehicle pieces, which would be kinda disappointing. Speaking of the house foundations I'm conflicted. Even if the overworld and enemy selection only have minimal changes (something I highly doubt, however), I think I could understand the game requiring nearly 6 years of development just to make sure all of the mechanics function properly within every possible environment. To say the least, these abilities are remarkably inventive. I'd expect that, early on, Nintendo wants us to be creative with how we reach the Sky Islands, but maybe Ascend has a late game power level that let's us jettison ourselves straight from the surface of Hyrule up to some of the lower Sky Islands in one bound. I'm curious to know what upgrades will be like for these powers, if there will be varying levels, or if it'll simply be a single enhancement like what the Champions' abilities got following the Champions' Ballad. Then, when he glides down to a lower section of the Sky Island, it disappears while he's in the air, and reappears as he's walking to that cave. We see it before he steps underneath that stone awning. I'd keep our expectations in check for this, because the Ascend symbol was active even when Link was simply walking across the Sky Island. It's worth noting too that when Link is going through the long Ascend animation he appears to be swimming through the rock. Speculation seems to be there might be underwater sections (or it might just be that you can go through water when coming from underneath it in a cave or something). Then once he emerges from the water and is floating it becomes unusable again. Once Link is under the water though it becomes available again. ![]() They point out that when Link is free-falling from the sky back to the ground the Ascend command is greyed out meaning it can't be used. Watching a video going over the latest trailer. ![]()
